A bit about myself…
My earliest memories of my artistic endeavours go all the way back to when I was a child… spending hours with pencil in hand.
I have always felt the need to create and over the years, have dabbled in a variety of creative hobbies. However, it wasn’t until I did an online course with an amazing teacher that things started to fall into place and I began experimenting with paints.
I started painting my quirky ladies and fell in love with this style! The use of such bright, bold colour combinations really makes them come to life (and makes me so happy). By the time I have finished each one, I’ve imagined a background story for them, and I feel like they have their own personalities. So naturally, I have to name each one!
When I am not busy being ‘mum’ or working at my actual day job, you will find me paintbrush in hand in my studio… also known as my laundry (surrounded by the washing that I should be doing). Covered in paint, my cat asleep below me, I am in my happy place. I’ve found that painting gives me an outlet, allows me to have ‘me time’ so that I can maintain balance in my life, it really nurtures the inner need I have to create.
I’m blessed to have wonderfully supportive people in my life (especially my husband who comes home and puts on the load of washing that I have been painting next to all day) who have encouraged me to pursue my dream to make a go of this ‘art thing’!
If you have read this, I am so thankful that you have taken the time and hope that my bright, bold and quirky style brings you as much joy as it does me.
